MARSEL SALIMOV WAS AWARDED THE HONORARY TITLE "GOLDEN PEN OF RUSSIA"

The Kolobov «Novaya Opera» theatre of Moscow a ceremony of the 20th prestigious Russian ’Golden Pen“ award for journalism has taken place. This year for the first time in the republic the Bashkir journalist and writer Marsel Salimov was awarded the Golden pen. His satirics are well-known not only in Russia but also abroad.
The satirist and journalist worked as chief editor of " Henek " («Forks»), he is the winner of numerous art contests, international and national literary and journalistic awards. In 2015, the Year of literature, he issued four books in Ufa and Moscow. His works have been translated into dozens of languages and published in Russian and foreign editions.
The award was handed to him by the famous Soviet journalist, nowadays councillor of the UNESCO Director General , " legend of Russian journalism " Henry Ioyushkyavichyus, who gave a high appraisal of the Bashkir satirist’s work.
The day before "Marsel Salim was also awarded a diploma of the laureate of the "12 chairs club“ "Golden Calf " by the one of the oldest Russian edition Literary newspaper.
